Wheelbarrow grips
Replacing wheelbarrow grips
A wheelbarrow works best when it fits well in the hand. Wheelbarrow handles are therefore important, and preferably if they are designed with ergonomics in mind. Therefore, do not wait too long to replace wheelbarrow handles when they are broken. After all, the problem is solved quickly and cheaply by buying wheelbarrow handles online and applying them yourself. By the way, did you know that the FORT wheelbarrow handles are ergonomically designed?
Installing the wheelbarrow grips
If you need new wheelbarrow grips, first check which tube serves as the basis for the frame of your wheelbarrow. This can be a round or oval tube. FORT wheelbarrows always use a diameter of 30mm for the round frames with a round tube.
Once you have received the new wheelbarrow grips, first cut the old grips from the frame with a knife. Then heat the new grips in a tub of hot water. This makes the plastic softer and makes the grips easier to mount on the frame. Place them one by one on the frame and knock them over the tube using a (rubber) mallet. As soon as the plastic cools, it becomes harder again and each grip connects seamlessly to the frame.
Various coloured handles
The wheelbarrow grips are now available in many colours. That's nice, because this way you can not only always find the right grips for your coloured wheelbarrow, but also create a nice colour combination yourself. Especially with a different colour tray or rim of the wheel. A wheelbarrow may be a tool, but the eye also wants something, and different colours make the work just a bit more fun.
